Today you will start your tour at 8:00am after enjoying a nice breakfast at your hotel. Today’s tour includes Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum, One pillar pagoda, Tran Quoc pagoda, and the Temple of Literature which houses the first university in Vietnam and the National Fine Arts Museum.
You will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before being driven to your hotel in Halong City, which is the world heritage city.
-Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum: This is the historic place where Respected Uncle Ho read the Vietnam Manifesto on September 2nd, 1945. There are always two guardsmen dressed in white uniforms standing at the main entrance. The mausoleum is closed on Monday and Friday, but open the rest of the week. It is also closed to visitors during October and November, allowing only pilgrims to visit to pay their homage to Respected Uncle Ho. The dress code for entry is very strict. You must wear shirts and long trousers, no shorts. Also, no cameras, hats or bags are allowed.
-Tran Quoc pagoda sits on an island in the West Lake. King Ly Nam De commissioned the construction of this pagoda on the river bank 1400 years ago.
- One pillar pagoda is a historic Buddhist temple and is regarded as one of Vietnam’s two most iconic temples together with Perfume Temple.
-Temple of Literature: The temple is a Confucian temple, and contains the Imperial Academy which is Vietnam’s first national university. It is a former center of learning in Hanoi. There are various pavilions, halls, statues and stelae of doctors. These places offer ceremonies, study sessions and the strict exam of the Dai Viet.
