Canglang Pavilion

Canglang Pavilion  It was originally the residential house for the noble caste of China's Five Dynasties Period (about 1,100 years before present). He built a pavilion called Canglang along a small river and wrote "The Record of the Canglang Pavilion" for which the present name of the garden came from the literature. Lion Grove Garden The construction of the Lion Grove Garden began in 1342 during China's Yuan Dynasty, by a monk Tianru and a group of Zen Buddhists as a memorial of their master and teacher Zhongfeng. The original name of the garden was "Shizi'lin Si" (The Lion Grove Temple), later called "Putizhengzong Temple" and then "The Holy Grace Temple". It was historically recorded that the site of the temple had a lot of strange stones that shaped like lions. Another story told that the Monk Tianru attained a spiritual enlightenment from the Master Zhongfeng on the Lion Rock of the Tianmushan Mountain in Zhejiang Province, so the temple acquired its name.
