Food---Pan Fried Mantou Bread

  

Pan Fried Mantou BreadMantou (馒头) in northern China means a kind of steamed bread that without any other ingredient but wheat flour, and Baozi (包子) is a kind of mantou with meat and vegetables inside as stuffing. In southern China, there is no different between these things. All kinds of Chinese steamed bread are being called mantou. The only different is that there are meat mantou, vegetarian mantou and red bean paste mantou. Pan Fried Mantou Bread(生煎馒头) something looks like pan fried dumplings (锅贴). The bread husk, which is made from leavened flour, wraps pork and vegetables stuffing tightly and deep fry on a flat pan. It can be served when the color of mantou's bottom has become yellow and crispy. You can also add shallots and sesames.
