China Incentive Business Travel & Meeting Exhibition

China Incentive Business Travel & Meeting Exhibition (CIBTM) will be held from Aug. 5 to 6 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing, China. There will be more than 351 exhibitors coming from different countries, including the Tourism Bureau of the Dominican Republic which will attend for the first time, Hard Rock Hotel Group, AIG Insurance, World Tourism Cities Federation and the Tourism Bureau of Fukuoka, Japan, etc. The market will lead to over 7200 arranged meetings by estimation.

“IBTM has been held for 10 years and it has become one of the biggest and most influential and mature trade shows in Asia, dedicated to meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. It has established a solid foundation for Beijing as well as the entire tourism industry in China to expand and strengthen international exchanges, cooperation and development and reach mutual success.” Mr. Wang Yue, the vice chairman of Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development, said.

Different from previous years, the coming IBTM will present a new sector: travel insurance and it also tries hard to promote Beijing as a popular international destination to international buyers by introducing 13 Chinese medical and therapeutic tours which are designed particularly for Japanese, Korean, German, Russian, English and Spanish markets and the important travel resources in Beijing such as museums, Chinese medical treatments, cultural performances and new attractions like Gubei Watertown.

Generally speaking, IBTM is a very important platform to show the development of M.I.C.E in Beijing. Its increasing size and influence are also an important embodiment of Beijing’s rapid development on M.I.C.E industry.
